So this was supposed to be my last pickup — a super rare, kinda overrated F1 collection from the ‘70s. And the final boss? The Copersucar F6. Just look at this wild design! That long, skinny pointy nose? You could totally convince someone it’s from a 21st-century F1 car. When it was revealed at the end of ‘78, F1 fans around the world lost their minds over how cool it looked and hoped the champ Emerson was about to make a comeback.
Then… it debuted at Kyalami in the ‘79 season, and instantly crushed those dreams with how sloooow it was. A total flop. Apparently the downforce was just not there — like, at all. They had to bring back the F5A just to buy time, and even tried slapping a Ligier JS11-style look on the same chassis to make the F6A, but yeah… neither car scored a single point.

The 1/43 model? Made in Brazil. The car was a fan favorite even if it didn’t win anything, so a few European companies made miniatures back in the day, but they’re basically impossible to find now. Plus, none of them were really that good. So this Brazilian brand was like, “We’ll make a better one — for the love of our hero Emerson!” And, I mean, it looks good, but the details? Definitely got that chill Latin finish.
I ordered it at the end of February 2020, back when no one had any idea how crazy COVID was about to get — it finally showed up, but with 4500 yen in shipping from Brazil… yeah, I’m not telling my wife how much it cost totally. This brand’s gone wild now, too — they’re making every single Fittipaldi variant from F5 to F8D. Like… who’s actually buying all these?
